A Purpose of the Property
Happy Acres operates as the public assembly home of Breathe Easy SpeakTeasy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious ministry.
Yamhill County's Public Assembly Institutional (PAI) district is intended to accommodate public and private assembly and institutional uses serving local and regional needs. Section 801.02(A) identifies assembly for religious, charitable, philanthropic, cultural, recreational, and educational purposes and expressly includes group camps among the listed uses.
Those purposes closely reflect the activities our nonprofit brings together at Happy Acres: ministry, fellowship, charitable hospitality, education, recreation, retreats, community gathering, Sabbath rest, and group camping.
Our overnight group-camping opportunities are intended to support and further those broader gatherings and programs by allowing participants to remain together when an experience extends beyond a single day.

Group Camping at Happy Acres is offered through Breathe Easy SpeakTeasy (B.E.S.T.), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit religious ministry.

Our purpose is to hold space for religious and charitable ministry, fellowship, education, recreation, hospitality, community gathering, retreats, Sabbath rest, service, and opportunities for people to grow and thrive.
Group camping helps further that mission by creating opportunities for people to remain together, share meals, participate in multi-day gatherings, spend time in creation, build relationships, rest, learn, pray, recreate, and experience meaningful community.
Some people may stay one night, participate in an entire retreat, come with their family, arrive with a group.
But our hope is the same:
Arrive with somewhere to stay.
Leave with something more.

We use the resources entrusted to our nonprofit - our property, outdoor spaces, gathering areas, fire circles, camping areas, professional skills, volunteers, and community partnerships - to create different opportunities for people to:
