Sustainable Practice: Ethical Boundaries & Nervous System Awareness for Massage Therapists

This 4-hour ethics course explores the critical relationship between professional boundaries, therapist burnout, and nervous system regulation in massage therapy practice. Licensed massage therapists will examine how overextension, emotional labor, and blurred boundaries can lead to ethical risk, compromised client care, and professional burnout.

Participants will learn to identify early signs of boundary fatigue, recognize client dependency patterns, and apply practical strategies for maintaining ethical integrity while sustaining a long-term career. Through real-world scenarios, reflective exercises, and communication frameworks, therapists will develop the skills to confidently navigate difficult client interactions, uphold professional standards, and create a sustainable, ethically grounded practice.

This course moves beyond traditional ethics education by integrating nervous system awareness, helping therapists understand how their internal state influences decision-making, boundaries, and client outcomes.
