Many Experiences.
One Ministry.
Different needs. Different people. Different moments.
All connected by one questions:
How can we hold space for people to grow and thrive?

A MINISTRY OF BREATHE EASY SPEAKTEASY
Many people. Many experiences. One mission: holding space for our community to grow and thrive.
Breathe Easy SpeakTeasy (B.E.S.T.) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit religious ministry, and Happy Acres at The Bayou is the place our mission gets to come to life.
We're non-denominational, community-centered, and a little unconventional - and we think that's part of what makes this place special.
We believe ministry can look like worship and prayer. But we also believe it can look like sharing a meal, sitting around a fire, learning something new, caring for someone through compassionate touch, drinking tea together, camping beneath the stars, moving your body, laughing with friends, serving a neighbor, or simply giving someone a peaceful place to rest.
That's why Happy Acres holds space for religious, charitable, educational, recreational, and community-centered fellowship gatherings and experiences.
Our ministry includes Sabbath rest, prayer and reflection, fellowship, charitable hospitality, community gatherings, retreats, group camping, education, recreation, wellness-centered ministry practices, and biblical traditions such as Laying of the Hands, Washing of Feet, Anointed Oils, and Baptism by Fire.
Some experiences are quiet. Some are joyful. Some bring a whole group together. Some are simply one person sitting beneath a tree taking a much-needed breath. They don't all have to look the same to come from the same mission.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME HERE.
You don't have to belong to our church. You don't have to become a member. You don't have to share every belief we hold. And you certainly don't have to have life figured out before walking through our doors.
Individuals, families, children, seniors, community groups, ministry groups, educators, volunteers, visitors, and people simply looking for connection are welcome to participate in the experiences appropriate for them.
Prayer is available when welcomed. Participation in a particular religious practice is never required simply to be treated with kindness, dignity, and hospitality.
Come as you are.
We'll meet you there.
WHY HAPPY ACRES?
Happy Acres isn't simply a collection of rooms or activities. It is the physical gathering place through which B.E.S.T. carries out much of its religious mission.
The land, buildings, gathering spaces, outdoor areas, historic spring, fire circles, classrooms, fellowship spaces, camping areas, donated resources, professional skills, volunteers, and community partnerships all give us different ways to serve people.
That's why something happening here might look different from one day to the next.
The activity may change.
The mission doesn't.
One day it may be fellowship.
Another day education.
Another day recreation.
Another day prayer.
Another day a retreat.
Another day group camping.
Another day simply rest.
Come as you are.
We'll meet you there.
OUR DOOR IS OPEN.
Breathe Easy SpeakTeasy exists to create opportunities for fellowship, faith, service, learning, hospitality, recreation, reflection, rest, and renewal while building a community where people feel welcomed rather than judged.
Some people come to Happy Acres looking for community.
Some come looking for God.
Some come looking for rest.
Some come because a friend invited them.
And some just think sitting around a fire with good people sounds pretty nice.
All of those people can have a seat.
